HLTAID009 Provide Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) (Half Day Course)

Nationally Recognised Unit of Competency

Course Overview

This course HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation ‘CPR’ provides nationally recognised CPR training for people who may be required to respond to a cardiac emergency in the workplace, community or other settings. Delivered by Raines Resources in Perth, this practical half-day CPR course develops the skills and knowledge required to recognise and respond to an emergency, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) safely and effectively.

Participants develop practical CPR skills for responding to unconscious and non-breathing casualties while following established emergency-response procedures and current resuscitation guidelines. HLTAID009 is suitable for employees, contractors, workplace first aiders and members of the community who require CPR competency for employment, workplace safety requirements or personal preparedness.

The Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification program provides information and guided practice that will enable both experienced first aiders and new first aiders with the skills necessary to demonstrate competence to the minimum national certification standards that meet HLTAID009 Unit of Competency and to lay the foundation skills of new operators so that they can improve their skills and proficiency whilst undertaking Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation situations.
